Beautiful beaches

Dubai's main beaches run along Jumeira Road. The Jumeira beaches have soft white sand that slip into the shallow warm turquoise waters of the Arabian Gulf. Hotel beaches are very well maintained with luxury facilities, with tropical swimming pools, beachside food, and beverage service. Winter temperatures are pleasant so the beaches are full of tourists.

Unique shopping experiences

 

Mall of the Emirates, the ultimate leisure, entertainment and shopping resort opened on September 28th 2005, and is now the largest shopping centre outside of North America. Strategically located in the heart of what is now deemed ‘New Dubai’, this 223,000 square meter centre offers a full range of shopping, leisure, and entertainment.

Mall of the Emirates is home to over 450 retailers and also features a complete range of entertainment options including Ski Dubai, the first indoor ski destination in the Middle East, a two-level Magic Planet, the largest indoor family entertainment centre in the country, a 14-screen Cinestar Cinemas and the Dubai Community Arts and Theatre with a 500 seat-theatre and art gallery. It also has over 70 restaurants and coffee shops with everything from fast food to themed restaurants and exclusive dining alternatives.

This mixed use development will incorporate two hotels, including a 5-star Kempinski, which will offer over 900 rooms combined, a host of licensed restaurants, tennis court, swimming pools and spas.

Burj Al Arab

Burj Dubai

The world's tallest structure ever built. The construction of the next steel floor has started which makes the tower 649.7 m tall, or 162 stories high. The 94th floor of Burj Dubai has sold for $12 million.

Amazing family parks

Dubai offers a pleasant variety of parks and family attractions. The Wild Wadi is a water amusement park greatly enjoyed by all family members. Along with the theme parks, there are playgrounds, landscaped gardens and the Dubai Zoo. Families have picnics along the various waterway parks that include various fun activities for one and all. Creekside Park is a popular destination that includes rides in the water taxis that provide transportation across the Creek all day long. Many people head east to the Hajar Mountains for a day outing to the scenic Hatta Oasis or Heritage village.

In 2010, Dubailand will be built on a 3 billion square foot site and will include 45 mega projects and 200 sub projects. It will be twice the size of Walt Disney World, making it the largest collection of amusement parks in the world. The development is expected to be a full featured city divided into seven theme worlds. The short range goal of the Dubailand is to attract 15 million tourists to Dubai by 2010. Developers expect to accomplish this goal by creating a tourism, entertainment, and leisure destination that will attract approximately 200,000 visitors daily.
